THE PARADOXES OF DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
Digital Revolution?
Is an image, mediated by computer and electronic technology,
radically different from an image obtained through a photographic lens and embodied in film?
*保留了cultural codes of film or photography
3.digital imaging destroys the innocence of straight photography by
making all photographs inherently mutable?
Digital technology does not subvert "normal" photography
because "normal" photography never existed.(Photomontage/多重曝光/似畫非畫)
3.Real vs too real
computer images are not inferior to the visual realism of
traditional photography. They are perfectly real -- all too real.
